High Level Dental Performance Measures

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) publishes Fee For Service (FFS) and Dental Managed Care (DMC) performance measures quarterly on a rolling 12 month basis. This methodology enables the reports to capture data by State Fiscal Year (SFY), Federal Fiscal Year (FFY), and Calendar Year (CY).
This report gives a high level overview of the top three dental performance measures: Annual Dental Visit, Use of Preventive Services, and Use of Sealants. Beginning SFY 2015-16, each measure is comprised of beneficiaries with 90-days continuous eligibility. Medi-Cal populations were aggregated as Geographic Managed Care (GMC), Prepaid Health Plans (PHP), DMC, FFS and Total in age groups children 0-20, 1-20 and adults 21+.
