Stakeholder Hearing Invitation: Designation of Categorical Risk Levels for Drug Medi-Cal Program's Narcotic Treatment Programs and Heroin Detoxification Programs
On February 24, 2022, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will hold a virtual public hearing to discuss the regulatory provider bulletin updating the designation of categorical risk levels for Drug Medi-Cal applicants with Narcotic Treatment Program or Heroin Detoxification Program services modalities. This is necessary to comply with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ recent designated categorical risk levels for newly enrolling and revalidating opioid treatment programs. If you are unable to attend the hearing, written comments received by 5 p.m. on February 24 will be considered prior to publication. Based on the public comments received, DHCS will publish the final bulletin on the
Medi-Cal and
DHCS websites. The changes will become effective 30 days after publication.
