Provider Enrollment Division

Provider Enrollment Division (PED) is responsible for the enrollment and re‑enrollment of fee-for-service health care service providers into the Medi-Cal program. There are approximately 182,000 Medi‑Cal providers who serve the medically necessary needs of the Medi-Cal population. PED is also responsible for developing enrollment policy, and updating and maintaining provider information in the Provider Master File database that is used in the claims payment process. Learn more about the Provider Enrollment Division, or contact us.

The Provider Application and Validation for Enrollment (PAVE) Provider Portal is an improved web-based alternative to the former paper application enrollment process.

PAVE improves access to enrollment services, facilitates ease of use, and adds efficiencies to enrollment processes.
