Effective June 30, 2017, the Express Lane Enrollment (ELE) program will sunset. The sunset of the ELE program will not affect individuals currently in ELE who were enrolled prior to July 1, 2017. Current ELE beneficiaries shall receive 12 months of Medi-Cal eligibility (from the date they enrolled), unless a change in circumstance is reported for their CalFresh eligibility, as described in All County Welfare Directors Letter (ACWDL) 14-06. Counties are expected to transition current ELE beneficiaries to Medi-Cal by the twelfth month of ELE eligibility, as they have since the implementation of the ELE program, following the guidance provided in ACWDLs 14-06, 14-06E, and 14-27.
