Quality Improvement Project: Improving the Use of Psychotropic Medication among Children and Youth in Foster Care
The Department of Health Care Services and the California Department of Social Services have convened a statewide quality improvement project to design, pilot, and evaluate effective practices to improve psychotropic medication use among children and youth in foster care.
In order to meet the goals of the quality improvement project, three workgroups have been created. These include the Clinical Workgroup, the Data and Technology Workgroup, and the Youth, Family, and Education Workgroup. The progress of the project and the output of these three workgroups are reviewed by a panel of subject matter experts from around the State.
