Quarterly Progress Reports
Quarterly progress reports were required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as part of the Medi-Cal 2020 Demonstration's Special Terms and Conditions (STCs) and continue to be required for the CalAIM 1115 Section Demonstration, approved by CMS on December 29, 2021. The State submits progress reports to CMS 60 days following the end of each quarter. These quarterly reports contain analyses and updates for various waiver program areas occurring during the quarter or anticipated to occur in the near future. Beginning in 2017 (i.e. Demonstration Year 13), waiver activities during the fourth quarter are captured and reported to CMS in the annual reports in lieu of developing separate quarterly reports.
Annual Progress Reports
Also required by the STCs, the State submits annual progress reports to CMS no later than 120 days after the end of each demonstration year. These annual reports record the State's accomplishments, project status, quantitative and case study findings, utilization data, and policy and administrative difficulties in the operation of the demonstration. The progress and outcomes of activities by various waiver programs are also described in these reports.
