Stakeholder Information-Requirements and Procedures for the Medi-Cal Enrollment of Providers Offering Services Remotely

Dear Stakeholders:

On February 9, 2023, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) held a public hearing via webinar to discuss the proposed regulatory provider bulletin for provider types and service modalities offering services commonly and safely provided from a non “brick-and-mortar" business address. These include remote service providers who offer mental health services, including non-specialty mental health services (NSMHS) covered under Medi-Cal's fee-for-service delivery system and managed care plans, and Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) covered by county mental health plans, exclusively through telehealth, and non-medical transportation and non-emergency medical transportation providers.

Please see the provider bulletin (effective March 29, 2023) for more information.
