Welcome to the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) California Electronic Visit Verification (CalEVV) for Individual Nurse Providers (INP).

California developed the below def​inition for an INP who is considered exempt from CalEVV requirements. 

Definiti​on

A “Live-in Caregiver” is a caregiver who regularly remains in the recipient’s home for more than 24 hours at a time and provides any of the authorized personal care services and home health care services.
