Medical Therapy Program Tools for Classification of Function
Medical Therapy Program (MTP) Tools for Classification of Function are standardized tools that are generally accepted by the pediatric rehabilitation community to provide a simple method to classify levels of function (instead of impairment) in children with cerebral palsy or other upper motor neuron (UMN) disorders. These functional levels are a standard part of all MTP physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) reports.
The classification tools utilized by the MTP are chosen in a collaborative effort, by a workgroup consisting of both county CCS program therapists and state therapy consultants, and is an ongoing process. The links provided on this page are to the current webpages of those tools selected. The links and/or the tools themselves may change over time, so please check back to this site on a regular basis for updates.
